CIP Issues Complete Text of 2008 Report: “Scientific Training and Radical Islam” The Center for Islamic Pluralism has issued to the public the complete text of its new report, “Scientific Training and Radical Islam: Understanding and Healing the Divided Mind.” The Report, made possible by the great generosity of a private donor, is based on work by seven researchers associated with the Center. It also includes a Prefatory Note by CIP President Kemal Silay and a Reviewer’s Note by William A. Anderson, MD, of the Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School. A summary article based on the Report appeared in the Spring 2008 issue of the Middle East Quarterly, published by the Middle East Forum, Philadelphia, PA, USA. "Scientific Training and Radical Islam: Understanding and Healing the Divided Mind” is posted to CIP websites (www.islamicpluralism.org, www.islamicpluralism.eu, and www.islamicpluralism.de) from which it may be downloaded for free. It is a 64 page, 25,000+ word document with colour illustrations and an index. Printed and bound copies of the Report will be available by the end of March, pending issuance of an ISBN number in the UK, and will be for sale at £10, €15, and USD20, postage included. Translations are in preparation in the Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Indonesian languages.
